Luke has been in the diamond industry since 1988. He is recognised as one of the foremost rough diamond valuators in the business, with extensive experience not limited to Angola, Namibia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Lesotho and Canada. He is a Special and fancy coloured stones expert. He designed DCi’s valuation assortment and system.

Team Leader for DCi contract with Enabel and CAR Government to provide independent valuation, training and consultancy services.

Lead Valuator for ADCi, DCi’s Canadian subsidiary, on Quebec GDV contract.
2011 to present
Lead Valuator on DCi’s GDV projects in Angola, Lesotho, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia, valuing c. USD $ 1.5 billion annually.

Responsible for Brazil, Angola, Sierra Leone, Guinea and aiding Liberia with an interim valuator from the DCi team.

Set up Wint & Kidd, London diamond jewellery retailer. Currently managing director.

Established Wint and Kidd luxury diamond jeweller in London, with two stores and a turnover of $2.5 million. The business closed in 2009.
1996 - 2005
Manager of DCi Angola operation. During this time the production grew substantially and currently stands at around USD $1 billion.

Manager of DCi Angola. Currently valuing $1 billion of diamonds a year for sale to the open market.
1994 to 2004.
Negotiated with DCi team sales of Namibian production to De Beers on behalf of Namibian government.
1992 to 1995.
Worked as valuer for DCi in Sierra Leone, Guinea and Angola.
