Andy has been in the diamond industry since 1973. He has vast experience in rough diamonds with De Beers and as a GDV/IDV with DCi in Namibia, Angola, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Canada and Lesotho, among others.

    Senior valuer for ADCi GDV contract in Quebec, Canada.

  • 1992 to present.

    Senior Valuator in Angola, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Lesotho and Quebec.

  • 2006 to 2009.

    Valuer in Brazil.

  • 1994 to 2004.

    Valuer for DCi in Namibia.

  • 1995 to 1998.

    Team leader in Guinea and Sierra Leone. Also alternate member of the board of the Government Gold and Diamond Office in Sierra Leone.

  • 1973 to 1988

    With the De Beers CSO in London and overseas – started as a sorter, became a buyer in Burundi and Brazzaville, helped negotiate the purchase of the Zaire production, and then was sales executive for the Indian market.
